Kid Koncierge is founded and run by three Traverse City women. Theresa, Valeda, and Barb are moms first and professionals second who desire to help other families find activities and local businesses that will enhance their parenting efforts.  They know personally how difficult it can be to locate services that are just right for their family. The goal of Kid Koncierge is to promote our beautiful five county region and engage our families in their communities through networking and information sharing.

Theresa Broad started parenting with a 10-year old step-daughter and went on to have four more children.  Sixteen years separate her first-born from her baby and she was amazed at how much things had changed over the years.  The one thing that remained constant, however, is the networking that parents engage in to help one another with all ages and stages of raising kids.  Kid Koncierge was born out of a desire to create one central resource guide for all kids' products and services in and around Northwest Michigan.  Theresa has a B.S. degree in Business Administration but has spent more years working at home than in an office.  Like so many other mothers, raising kids continues to be her greatest blessing and biggest challenge.

Barb Krueger is a mother of six who has a B.A. Degree in Education.  She has home-schooled her own children at various levels and has also taught Pre-School, Sunday School, and has been a substitute teacher in the public and private school sector.  Her children have been involved in many sports and music activities over the years. With three children off to college, she has pursued the Kid Koncierge adventure out of a desire to help others sort through the myriad of choices out there for their children through the ease and convenience of the Internet.

Valeda Shelder is a mother of 3 and grandmother of 1.  She holds a Bachelor's Degree from Bloomsburg University in Urban and Regional Planning and Development.  Although she has worked in the engineering field and is currently the bookkeeper for her husband's business, her main role is mom.  Valeda is originally from Pennsylvania and relocated to Michigan to be near her husband's family.  Upon relocation she found it somewhat difficult to seek out needs for her children, such as doctors, dentists, 4H groups, dance studios, soccer camps and church youth groups.  She became involved with Kid Koncierge to help others who may be relocating to the area and for those whose needs may change as their children grow, by accumulating and providing information about all things relating to kids.
